Julie Chen Moonves is the host of the 22nd season which premiered on CBS August 5, 2018. Chen Moonves served as the moderator and one of the first hosts on The Talk. She won the Daytime Emmy Award for her work. But her real passion was when she added writer to her duties, and was awarded an Emmy for this. Her outstanding talk show also earned her an Emmy. The Talk examines contemporary events using the perspective of five female hosts. Chen Moonves hosted CBS News the early morning news program The Early Show for a decade. Before that, Chen Moonves was the CBS Morning News' anchor as well as the news anchor on The Early Show. Following the 9/11 attacks, she traveled to Cairo for an informative and eye-opening interview.
